Red tape denied the Kenya international midfielder a 2010 move to Man City but now Saints are lining him up for January
Southampton are ready to make their Champions League push a family affair by snapping up Victor Wanyama's brother - Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Mariga.
Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino is plotting a January swoop for the 26-year-old, who plays alongside his younger sibling for Kenya's national team.
Mariga came close to joining Manchester City in January 2010, but could not get a work permit.
Wanyama has played a key role in the Saints' superb start to the season since a £12.5million summer move from Scottish champions Celtic.
