Stoke have now joined the race to sign Dempsey on-loan - as Fulham, West Ham and Everton keep tabs on the front-man

Stoke have joined the race to take Clint Dempsey on loan from the MLS.

Fulham, West Ham and Everton are already tracking the front-man, but the Potters have now made their interest known to his American club Seattle Sounders.

Tottenham have first option to re-sign Dempsey on loan, but White Hart Lane sources believe it is unlikely they will move for the 30-year-old.

Dempsey left Spurs to join Sounders in August.
