Sunderland are ready to listen to offers for forgotten man Ji Dong-Won.

The South Korea frontman is out of contract with the Black Cats next summer and could be offloaded in the new year, with a string of German clubs interested.

Ji, 22, impressed on loan to Augsburg last season and was the subject of a £5million summer bid from Borussia Dortmund.

Former Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio rejected the offer, but successor Gus Poyet, though happy with what he has seen of Ji in training, needs to make room for new recruits.

Hamburg, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Borussia Monchengladbach are all keen on Ji - a £2m Steve Bruce signing from South Korea's Chunnam Dragons in June 2011.
