Football legend Jimmy Hill suffering from Alzheimer’s, say his family

Former footballer turned TV presenter Jimmy Hill is suffering from Alzheimer’s, his family have revealed.
Hill was originally diagnosed with the disease, a form of dementia, in 2008 and is now living in a care home near the south coast.
His condition only came to light this weekend amid a legal battle over his assets.
The 85-year-old is believed to have given his third wife Bryony joint power of attorney with his solicitor in 2005 while still in good health.

Hill enjoyed a long playing career in west London with Brentford and Fulham before going into broadcasting – he was on Match of the Day for 25 years – and managing Coventry from 1961-67.
He helped rid the game of the maximum wage and commissioned the first all-seater stadium in the country during his time at Coventry while also introducing the system of three points for a win.
